NEIJING ACUPUNCTURE × TAOI WELLNESS
Sound Bath Mallorca
Private sessions, retreats and events
Experience a sound bath in Mallorca with Neijing Acupuncture and Sedef Gencoguz of TAOI Wellness. Combining crystal singing bowls, Tibetan bowls and live voice, these sessions offer time to pause, listen and enjoy a quieter pace, whether you live on the island or are visiting for a holiday or retreat.
Choose a private session, arrange a group experience or include a sound bath in your retreat, wedding or corporate wellbeing programme. Sessions take place in a peaceful countryside setting approximately 30 minutes from Palma, with visits to villas, retreat venues and event spaces across Mallorca also available.
For guests interested in combining sound with acupuncture, our Acusounds experience brings the two practices together in one session. Acupuncture is entirely optional.

THE EXPERIENCE
What Is a Sound Bath?
A sound bath is a listening-based meditation in which instruments create an immersive environment of sustained tones, rhythm and resonance. The word “bath” describes being surrounded by sound; no water is involved.
Participants usually lie down comfortably while the practitioner plays instruments such as singing bowls, gongs, drums and chimes, sometimes accompanied by voice. As the sounds change, they provide a focus for attention without requiring you to follow a complex meditation technique.
You do not need musical knowledge or previous experience. There is no particular feeling to achieve, and you do not have to keep your mind completely still. You can simply notice the sounds, your breathing and the sensations of resting.
Every session is personal. Some people feel deeply relaxed, while others remain alert and attentive throughout.
A MOMENT FOR YOU
Private Sound Bath Sessions in Mallorca
A private sound bath offers individual attention and space to discuss your preferences. It can suit guests who prefer a quieter setting, are new to sound meditation or would like time for themselves.
We begin with a conversation about your comfort. Sedef then creates a soundscape using voice and instruments, with the experience shaped around you.

YOUR TIME TO PAUSE
What to Expect During Your Session
A typical sound bath lasts approximately 60 to 90 minutes, including time to settle in and finish gradually. Sessions for retreats and events can be adapted to the programme, with timings discussed in advance.
01
Arrive & settle
There is no need to force a meditative state. If your mind wanders, you can gently return your attention to what you hear. Let your practitioner know if you need help getting comfortable, particularly if you are receiving acupuncture.
02
Listen & rest
Once comfortable, you listen as the instruments and voice create a sequence of sounds. Some tones are sustained; others introduce rhythm or contrast. You may notice your attention moving between the sound, your thoughts and the feeling of resting.
03
Return gradually
As the session closes, give yourself a little time before moving on. When arranging your day, a short space afterwards can make the transition back to conversation, travel or other activities feel less rushed.
THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE EXPERIENCE
Meet Your Practitioners
Sedef Gencoguz of TAOI Wellness leads the sound experience. A professional singer and sound practitioner, she combines live voice with instruments including crystal and Tibetan singing bowls. Her musical approach gives guests a varied listening experience, with changing textures, tones and moments of quiet.
Rob Horsfall is an acupuncturist with Neijing Acupuncture and holds a first-class BSc honours degree in Acupuncture. He provides the optional acupuncture component of Acusounds.
Together, Sedef and Rob offer a choice between a sound bath and a combined experience, allowing guests and event organisers to select the format that best suits their preferences.

TWO PRACTICES, ONE APPOINTMENT
Acusounds: A Sound Bath with Optional Acupuncture
Sound alone is always an option.
Acusounds combines a sound bath with acupuncture provided by Rob. Acupuncture involves placing very fine needles at selected points on the body; in this setting, it is offered alongside the listening experience.
Choosing Acusounds does not mean every participant must receive acupuncture. Guests are welcome to take part in the sound bath alone, including within a group where others have chosen the combined option.
Please discuss your health history and any questions about acupuncture before treatment. Rob can explain the process and assess whether it is appropriate for you. Your preferences and consent remain central to the session.
The combined format gives guests an opportunity to experience both practices in one appointment.
SPACE TO SIMPLY BE
Relaxation and Wellbeing
People often choose sound baths because they want uninterrupted time away from everyday demands. The experience creates an opportunity to put down your phone, rest and direct your attention towards listening.
Guests may describe feeling calmer, more rested or more present afterwards, but responses vary. A session can be meaningful without dramatic sensations or an emotional experience.
Sound healing is a term often used for this type of practice. Our sound baths are offered as a wellbeing experience, rather than as treatment for a medical condition. A sound bath does not replace medical care.
If you have particular health or sensory concerns, speak with us before booking so that you can make an informed decision about attending.
CHOOSE YOUR SETTING
Where Do Sound Baths Take Place?
Our countryside setting is approximately 30 minutes from Palma de Mallorca, offering an option for guests who would like to step away from the city for their session.
We also travel to villas, retreat properties and event venues across Mallorca. This allows organisers to explore a sound bath as part of an existing programme without arranging a separate journey for every participant.
For a session at your venue, please share the location and describe the space available. Considerations such as background noise, room layout and space for guests to rest are useful to discuss during planning. Confirm the agreed session location before making travel arrangements.
BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
How to Prepare for a Sound Bath
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to rest easily. A light layer or blanket may help you stay comfortable while lying still.
Before attending, check what equipment is provided and whether you should bring a mat, cushion or blanket. Arriving with a little time to spare gives you an opportunity to settle and ask any remaining questions.
Let us know in advance if lying on the floor is difficult or if you have hearing sensitivities or other access requirements. Discussing these details before the appointment helps establish whether the setting and format are suitable for you.
You do not need to practise meditation beforehand or prepare an intention. Curiosity and a willingness to listen are enough.

A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need experience with meditation?
No. A sound bath is accessible to beginners because it centres on listening. You do not need to know a breathing technique, understand the instruments or maintain continuous concentration.
Can I arrange a sound bath at my villa in Mallorca?
Visits to villas and other venues across the island are available. Share the location, date and number of guests so that we can discuss availability, the space and any travel requirements.
Is acupuncture included in every sound bath?
No. Acupuncture is an optional part of Acusounds. You can request a sound bath without acupuncture, and group participants can express their individual preferences.
Can a session fit into a retreat or wedding schedule?
Sessions can be adapted for retreats and events. Tell us how much time is available and where the experience would sit within your programme so that we can discuss suitable timings.
How do I choose between a private and group session?
Choose a private session if you value individual attention and a format shaped around your preferences. A group session may suit a retreat, celebration or shared wellbeing activity.
